The remote buying journey

One plan.Every UK moving part connected.

What each buyer needs varies by country, lender and how they buy. Our job is to keep the whole journey joined up, so you are never left coordinating it from afar.

  1. First we get clear on what you want your money to do. Your goal, your budget and your timeframe come before any property.

  2. Before you buy, a tax and accounting specialist helps you decide whether to hold the property in your own name or through a UK company.

If a company makes sense, we can introduce the right people to set it up and look after the accounting and filing.

  3. Next we help you sort the practical set-up, such as a UK bank account, a company if you need one, and moving your money across.

Each provider still runs its own identity and eligibility checks.

  4. An appointed regulated mortgage broker looks at your options early, based on where you live, your income and your deposit.

We keep the mortgage timing lined up with the valuation, the legal work and your completion date.

Mortgage advice is provided by the appointed regulated mortgage broker. Lending is subject to eligibility, valuation and lender approval.

  5. We look at the price, the likely rent and the running costs, and how it all fits your wider plan, before we recommend anything.

A property only gets the go-ahead if it makes sense next to what you already own and what you are trying to reach.

    How we assess opportunities →
  6. An appointed conveyancing solicitor does the legal work. We keep the solicitor, broker and seller talking to each other so you do not have to.

That covers the usual steps, from ID and source of funds checks through to exchange, transfer of funds and completion.

Most of this can be done from where you are. If anything needs to be signed or certified in person, we tell you early.

  7. Once it is yours, we can arrange furnishing, insurance, letting and the day-to-day management.

You get one tidy handover instead of chasing separate firms after completion.

  8. After completion you can see your property's value, income, mortgage and progress towards your goal, all in one place.

Whether you own one UK property or many, it is all there wherever you are in the world.

Questions

A few things overseas investors ask us

Most stages can usually be handled remotely, including consultation, document exchange and parts of identity verification. A solicitor, lender, bank or other provider may require additional checks depending on the client and transaction, which will be explained as early as possible.

Potentially. Availability depends on factors including country of residence, income currency, deposit, personal circumstances and the property. An appointed regulated mortgage broker assesses the available options and explains the requirements.

There is no universal answer. Ownership structure can affect tax, finance, administration and the eventual exit. The decision should be considered with the appropriate tax and accounting specialists before committing to a property.

Costs may include purchase tax, legal work, mortgage costs, currency transfer, company or accounting costs, furnishing and property management. Non-resident or additional-property treatment may also apply. We bring the relevant figures together before a recommendation is made.
