THE DEVELOPMENT
About Contour.
Contour is a 51-storey residential tower in New Jackson, Renaker's neighbourhood around Great Jackson Street at the southern gateway to Manchester city centre. Designed by SimpsonHaugh, it holds 494 apartments and is Renaker's latest release at New Jackson.
The tower is one of a pair of 51-storey buildings designed by SimpsonHaugh, with planning approved in 2022. Place North West reported in March 2025 that Renaker had retained Contour, while its twin was sold to a partnership of L&G, Nest and PGGM as a build-to-rent scheme.
Apartments are sold off-plan and for purchase only, in one, two and three-bedroom layouts, with penthouses to be released at a later date. Renaker states a November 2026 completion and projects yields of c.6%, based on local agent rental predictions.
Interiors are by Martin Dourish and Lauren Maylor, and residents share an extensive amenity offer, from a golf simulator and co-working space to a Technogym gymnasium, spin studio and self-serve dog spa.
Homes: Two and three-bedroom apartments currently available (one-bedroom apartments sold out), with penthouses to be released later.

New Jackson sits at the southern edge of Manchester city centre, around Great Jackson Street. Renaker quotes approximate walking times of 2 minutes to the Castlefield Conservation Area, 3 minutes to First Street, 4 minutes to Deansgate and its station and Metrolink stop, 8 minutes to the Oxford Road Corridor and 12 minutes to Spinningfields.
Renaker points to Spinningfields as home to more than 170 organisations in finance, law and media, including Barclays, Deloitte and PwC. It also names the University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University, the University of Salford, the Royal Northern College of Music and Northern Ballet School, with more than 81,000 students a year along the Oxford Road Corridor.
Renaker describes neighbourhood facilities including a smoke-free park of over one acre, a dog park, a children's play area, an NHS medical centre and a primary school. By train, it quotes approximate journey times of 38 minutes to Liverpool, 50 minutes to Leeds and Sheffield, and 2 hours 6 minutes to London.

The Savills listing describes the apartments as leasehold, with a lease expiry date of 14 March 3005. Service charge and ground rent had not been published when we checked, so ask for the full lease terms before reserving. Request details through /contact/.

Renaker states a November 2026 completion, and the Savills listing gives the same month. Completion dates on off-plan schemes can move, so confirm the current handover timetable before you commit.
